Police Use Taser to Subdue Man Who Struggled With Police Officer

Fulton, NY – On August 4, 2010, at 12:43am, the Fulton Police were called to a residence in the 400 block of Cayuga St. for a report of a physical domestic dispute. When officers attempted to take a male subject into custody he pulled away and came after the officer.

A brief struggle ensued and the officer was able to free himself from the altercation. A second officer was able to deploy his Taser, bringing the subject under control. The subject was then taken into custody.

The subject was identified as Rafael I. Perez, 31 years of age, of N. Syracuse. He was charged with:

Criminal Contempt 1st, a Class E Felony; Resisting Arrest, Class A Misdemeanor; Harassment 2nd, Violation.
