Fulton’s closed Birds-Eye food processing plant is getting one more boost in the effort to find a buyer to reopen it.
The New York Power Authority’s Recharge NY program has approved a $3.2 million dollar purchase of low-cost power for the plant.
The purchase of 3,150 kilowatts of low cost power will help local efforts to find a buyer for the facility, which shut down last year.
Local and county officials are dealing with a potential buyer, officials have said.
The company would buy both the processing plant and the cold storage facility.
No deal has been announced yet.
