OSWEGO, NY – A teen-ager is in jail after he allagedly threatened a city resident.
On Sunday, May 11, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Oswego Police received a report from an Oswego resident, who stated that a man, known to the victim, allegedly entered the residence and displayed a handgun in a threatening manner.
The Oswego Police Department began an investigation, and on May 12, at approximately noon, investigators obtained information as to the suspect’s whereabouts.
With the assistance of the Fulton Police Department, Oswego Police responded to the parking lot of the Pit-Stop, 433 County Route 3, Granby, where the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The suspect; 18-year-old Raymond P. Gomes, of 120 Liberty St., was processed on charges of first-degree burglary (B-Felony), second-degree criminal possession of a weapon (C-Felony), first-degree reckless endangerment (D-Felony), and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property (E-Felony).
Gomes was arraigned before Oswego City Court Judge Metcalf where he was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 bail / $30,000 bond.
He is to return to City Court on May 20
