FULTON – The Great Bear Springs Recreation Area received a huge thumbs up over the weekend. And, if the weather stays cold enough, it will last for a while longer.
Dick Drosse said he and his wife, Naneen, “encountered the thumbs up snow sculpture at Great Bear Springs Recreation Area, arriving yesterday (Sunday) morning. It wasn’t there Saturday. Someone must have worked early. It has nice detail.”
It is located right inside the entrance gate on the right side.

“It’s a bit worn down today after the warmer temps yesterday afternoon, but still not looking too bad,” Drosse said.
However, the sculptor’s identity remains a mystery.
There are many footprints, and dog paw prints, all around the snowy artwork, he told Oswego County Today on Monday.
But, there were no real clues as to who the artist may be, Drosse said.
The mystery sculptor’s masterpiece has received a lot of attention with many people stopping by to view it.
“Maybe whoever did the sculpture could contact Friends of Great Bear at [email protected]. We would like to talk with him about their skill,” Drosse said.

Thumbs down to their neighbor nearby , Pathfinder F&G Club, who annoys Southern Oswego County with Sunday morning noise pollution in addition to water pollution via the lead leachate.
