Funeral Services Announced For Fallen Deputy

OSWEGO –  The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office announces funeral services for Deputy Cailee Campbell, who died in the line of duty Wednesday September 25th.  Campbell, 33, was responding to a call when she was involved in a fatal motor vehicle accident with another vehicle in the Town of Volney.  The driver of the other vehicle was transported to Upstate University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At the request of Deputy Campbell’s family, calling hours will be private.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 1 at noon at Fulton Alliance Church, 1044 State Route 48, Fulton, New York 13069 with a reception for family, friends and Law Enforcement to follow.

“Deputy Campbell died doing what she loved, protecting and serving her community while trying to help someone in an emergency. We are deeply saddened by this loss to our agency. We pray for Cailee’s family, friends and fellow officers and take comfort in coming together to honor, reflect and mourn,” stated Oswego County Sheriff Don Hilton.

Deputy Campbell was with the road patrol unit for 17 months at the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office and graduated from the Oswego County Regional Police Academy in 2023. Prior to joining OSCO, Campbell was employed by Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. She was a dedicated public servant for nearly all of her adult life. Her heroic legacy will not be forgotten.
