Northern Border Regional Commission Announces 2023 Forest Economy Program Information Sessions

NEW YORK – The Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) has scheduled two information sessions in support of the fall, 2023 Forest Economy Program (FEP) grant application opportunity, and we invite any parties interested in applying to this year’s program to attend one of the sessions. Each session will consist of an overview of the program, and there will be plenty of time for questions.
Eligible organizations, which include but are not limited to nonprofit and governmental entities (state, local & Indian tribes), are currently able to access grant application details via the NBRC’s website, nbrc.gov/content/FEP, and attendees are encouraged to review program materials prior to attending. NBRC State Program Managers, and FEP Advisory Board members will be in attendance as schedules allow.
All information sessions will be held via Zoom and registration is required. Information for each is below:

Potential applicants for the Fall 2023 FEP grant round must express interest through Letters of Interest, which must be submitted by September 22nd at 5 p.m.. Letters of Interest will be evaluated by a nine-member Advisory Board, consisting of representatives from each of the four NBRC states. The Advisory Board will determine which applicants will be invited to submit a full application, which will be due November 10, with anticipation of awards in January, 2024.
For those considering an application, regardless of your ability to attend an information session, please connect with the NBRC Forest Economy Program Manager, Marina Bowie, the NBRC Program Manager in the State(s) where the proposed project will take place, and/or a Forest Economy Program Advisory Board member. These individuals will be happy to assist you as you develop your projects and application(s):
