City of Fulton news:

  • A Fulton Junior High School teacher was arrested for stealing items from the school over the course of three years. The teacher was also arrested on illegal weapons charges after police searched his home for the stolen items. Read full story here.
  • The Fulton Girls Varsity Wrestling Team finished strong in their first year as a team, excelling in several overall categories. See full story here.
  • The Fulton Family YMCA is hosting their annual dance: Ties and Tiaras. The event is centered on young girls and the men who hold a very special in their lives. The dance will be held on February 17 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. See full story here.
  • CNY Arts Center, Inc. Executive Director Nancy Fox was honored at the Fulton Common Council meeting for her longstanding work in the Oswego County community. See full story here.

City of Oswego news:

  • An Oswego City School bus driver was charged with illegal drug use during work hours. Police reported the driver engaging in inappropriate activities on the bus during breaks from transporting children around. See full story here.
  • Oswego native, the late Dr. Mary Walker – who was also a Civil War surgeon and women’s rights activist and abolitionist, will receive two new honors by the federal government. See full story here.
  • Mayor Billy Barlow announced today the City of Oswego has completed the installation of a new back-up generator at the Oswego Water Plant. The generator will provide a backup source during any kind of emergency power outage. See full story here.

  • The 17th Annual St. Baldrick’s Day event in Oswego County this year is looking to hit the million-dollar mark this year in helping combat childhood cancer. The April 16 event will be held at Curtis Manor. See full story here.
