City of Fulton news:

  • Plans to restart the Route 481 repaving project through the City of Fulton was announced by Mayor Deanna Michaels last week. The project will run from Pierce Drive heading north to Seneca Street, the work resuming April 10. See full story here.
  • First time homebuyers can qualify for up to $20,000 toward the purchase of a home, with help from the “Home to Grow” program being offered by the Fulton Community Development Agency. See full story here.
  • Compass Federal Credit Union members can enter into a chance to win a pair of VIP tickets to Fulton Speedway Tracks Point Opener on Saturday, May 6. See full story here.

City of Oswego news:

  • The return of the Oswego Sunset Concert Series at Breitbeck Park, will begin on Wednesday, June 28. The Sunset Concert Series is sponsored by the City of Oswego and the Oswego County Musicians Collaborative. See full story here.
  • The Oswego City School District officially welcomed in Interim Superintendent Jeffery Gordon Thursday afternoon, Gordon taking his oath of office March 3o. See full story here.
  • A free CPR/AED Certified course  for local youth coaches will be held on April 8, the event sponsored by Oswego Health, Oswego YMCA and Oswego County Opportunities. See full story here.

Oswego County news:

  • The New York State Department of Civil Service announced Oswego County has been approved for its Hiring Emergency Limited Placement (HELP) Program. The County received approval on March 15, making it the first in the state to utilize this new program to help with recruitment efforts. See full story here.
  • A passenger from a March 22 Mexico Academy Central School Bus  crash, Theresa A. Steele has succumbed to her injuries.  Steele was a bus monitor for the district. No students were on board at the time of the crash. The accident is still under investigation. See full story here.
  • Deja Brew, an unique coffee cafe in Oswego County is now open,  offering a variety of unique health and wellness options besides the usual cup of Joe; with options including gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan dining and well as fresh fruit juices and smoothies. See full story here.
