OSWEGO – A Cato man is behind bars today, charged with raping a young girl.
At 3:44 p.m. Monday (May 16), sheriff’s deputies arrested Joseph D. Bagley, 49, of 2650 Wise Road, Apt. A, Cato, for first-degree rape, a class B felony and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
The arrest stems from the investigation into an incident that occurred in the village of Central Square between the months of November 2014 and January 2015.
He allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim being less than 11 years of age.
Bagley was arraigned in the Village of Central Square Court by Hon. Judge Wildrick and remanded to the OCJ in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
He is to return to court on June 22.
