Central Square Man Facing Rape Charge

OSWEGO – On Monday, June 5, at 11:52 a.m., sheriff’s deputies arrested Gary Francis Floss, 74, of 422 US Route 11, Central Square.

He was charged with first-degree rape, a class B felony.

The arrest stems from the investigation into an incident that occurred between October 2010 and July 2011 in the town of Hastings.

He allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim being less than 11 years of age at the time.

Floss was arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court by Hon. Judge Adkins and remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

He is to return to Town of Hastings Court on June 14.
