On Saturday, September 9, Graumenz went to a neighbor’s house with one handcuff attached to his wrist and told her that he crashed his truck and as a State Trooper was trying to arrest him, that he shot the Trooper, police said.

The neighbor immediately called 911 to report the incident.

As Troopers responded to the area, it was immediately determined that Graumenz did not crash his truck or shoot a Trooper, and that he intentionally lied about the incident as a joke, according to the police report.

Graumenz was charged with falsely Reporting an Incident 3rd degree and Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree.

He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Constantia Town Court on September 18 at 5 p.m.
