Exelon Generation Issues Correction To Emergency Preparedness Public Information Brochure

OSWEGO, NY – Residents in the 10-mile Emergency Planning Zone surrounding the nuclear power plants in Oswego County recently received a new public information brochure with emergency planning information.

An error was identified and corrected.

A new brochure is being mailed to residents in the EPZ.

Exelon regrets the error and any concerns the error caused neighbors near both the Nine Mile Point and James A. FitzPatrick plants.

Residents should retain the old brochure until the corrected version arrives within the next several days.

The corrected version will have “Revision 2 – August 2017” on the cover.

If a resident would like a copy of the updated brochure, he or she may call the Oswego County Emergency Management Office at 315-591-9150.

Brochures will be available after August 23.
