OSWEGO TOWN – The volunteer firefighters in Oswego Town were activated at 11 a.m. today (Sept. 30) for a reported structure fire on County Route 7.

Members were already at the fire station prepping for the Sunday BBQ, so they had a quick response.

First arriving Chief 3402 (Herrmann) assumed command and declared a working fire.

Fire operations were handled by OS500 (Laws). Oswego Town responded with all apparatus and the Coffee Squad with lunch and refreshments.

A multi-hose line attack was initiated and fire knocked down after 40 minutes.

All units were back in service at 2:30 p.m.

We would like to thank all those that assisted with the operation.

No injuries were reported and everyone went home safe.

The homeowners are being assisted by the Red Cross.
