OSWEGO, NY – Frostbit Blue returns to the stage Wednesday for the TK-99/TK-105.5 Hump Day Concert Series at the Inner Harbor in Syracuse.

Admission is free and Frostbit goes on at 5:30 p.m.

Following the Blue will be Gary Hoey and then Foghat.

Frostbit Blue is Nick Gravelding (guitar/vocals), Tom McCaffrey (guitar, vocals), Dave Hawthorn (guitar/vocals), John Bletch (drums), Benny Fiacco (bass), and Bill Barry (keyboards/vocals).

“We can’t wait to get back on stage” said Fiacco. “The triple guitar leads and the four-part vocal harmonies sound incredible! And Dave has a lot of strong songs that we’re adding to our list.”

In addition to Hawthorn’s tunes, the band has been busy working on many new originals.

Definitely one and maybe two will be debuted Wednesday.

Directions to the Inner Harbor can be found at tk99.net and Frostbit updates can be found at frostbitblue.com

“We were planning on waiting until we had our full night show together before we played out again, but this opportunity presented itself and it was too good to pass up (or turn down),” McCaffrey said.

Bletch (one of FBB’s founding fathers) has returned to the band after what was at least a five-year hiatus.

“Bill Barry played keyboards (and sang) with my brother, Barry, and myself in several groups years (decades) ago,” McCaffrey said. “When Frostbit and Mike separated ways, we asked Bill to join up. He’s played with several well-known CNY acts like Stroke, Lisa Gentile Band, and the Sharp dressed Penguins.”

Oswego’s own Dave Hawthorn is a great fit with FBB, according to McCaffrey.

“Many of us in Frostbit played on Dave’s solo album, ‘West.’ We plan to bring a lot of his songs into our repertoire. His standout voice and guitar playing is also being incorporated into our own tunes … the three-part guitar riffs are incredible!”

The only other gig currently on the books for FBB is 8 p.m. Thursday, at The Mosquito Lounge in Endwell.

“We are working on new originals all the time. We will be debuting (pronounced deebutting) ‘For Your Love’ Wednesday,” McCaffrey said. “So far, we’ve only talked about recording this winter. We haven’t solidified any dates as of yet; but we’re more anxious for the next CD than anyone else, believe me.”
