Oswego Firefighters Face Forgery Charges

OSWEGO, NY – Two members of the city’s fire department are facing misdemeanor forgery charges in connection to an Oct. 3 incident.

Brian D. Conzone, 43, of 5568 State Route 104, Oswego, and Brooks M. Hourigan, 39, of  12 Hawley St., Oswego, were charged on Oct. 26 with third-degree forgery and second-degree falsifying business records.

According to police reports, the two firefighters allegedly signed a person’s name to the Oswego City ambulance service transport report.

They were arrested after an investigation determined that they had allegedly, unlawfully signed the name of another to an official business record on or about Oct. 3, according to the police report.

  1. They have been doing this for years. An an ER RN I know, have seen it hundreds of times. All first responders do it as well!

  2. BTW, Oswego Hospital Administration encourages, otherwise Insurances cannot be billed.

  3. I am n emt and I take offense to the post suggesting that WE (EMT”S) all do it. The ER RN is worng and those kind of statements are what makes for bad working relationships between hospital and EMS/Rescue personnel.
