OSWEGO, NY – It was a nice day for a trip Thursday.

So, Tess Igarta set her sights on Oswego.

The Manhattan resident said she wanted to visit the Port City and Upstate New York in general.

“I’m taking an overnight trip,” she explained. “I called (city tourism director) Fred (Crisafulli) on Tuesday and made plans. He’s been nice enough to show me the entire town.”

She enjoyed the sights, sounds and smells of the weekly farmers’ market.

“This is wonderful. I can’t wait to see what all the vendors have,” she said. “Everything looks so good; I want to try it all.”

Tess headed home again Friday morning but may be coming back to the Port City in the future.

“The people here are so friendly. I love this town,” she said, adding, “I might just move here some day.”

The Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce Oswego Farmers’ Market continues Thursdays from 5-9 p.m. on West First Street, between Bridge and Oneida streets through Oct. 8.

  1. Apparently they didn’t show her welfare row…. w/out that Oswego would actually be a nice place to live and breath and perhaps work.
