An Oswego man died Saturday night in Saratoga Springs when he was hit by a car while walking away from a concert at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
Edward Bernys, 42, of 42 W. Eighth St., Oswego was killed by an SUV which hit him as he was crossing a busy major highway in the area, Route 9, according to the Albany Times-Union.
Bernys was heading back to his hotel room after watching the Dave Matthews Band’s performance.
Police have not assigned blame for the accident yet and the investigation remains open.
According to his obituary, Bernys was manager of behavioral services at Oswego Hospital and won a statewide award for a medical records project.
