Oswego Police Announce Recent Felony Arrests

The Oswego City Police Department has recently made the following Felony arrests:

On November 21 members of the Anti-Crime Team (ACT) executed narcotic related search warrants that resulted in the seizure of 6 bags of heroin. As a result of the investigation, two individuals were arrested and charged.

Joshua J. Jock, 29, of 69 E. Oneida St., upper apartment, Oswego, was charged with the following:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, with intent to sell- Class B Felony
Conspiracy in the 4th degree- Class E Felony

Christopher E. Diehl, 30, of 74 E. Oneida St., Oswego, was charged with the following:

Conspiracy in the 4th degree- Class E Felony

It is alleged that Jock and Diehl intended to commit the class B Felony crime of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree and took actions to cause such to occur.

Jock and Diehl were arraigned in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility.

Jock’s bail was set at $5,000 cash / $10,000 secured bail bond.

Diehl’s bail was set at $10,000 cash / $20,000 secured bail bond.

Both were due back in Oswego City Court on November 26 at 9:30 a.m.

On Wednesday, Oswego City Police Department Investigators arrested Kenyon P. Kearns, 29, of 265 E. Second St., Oswego, and charged him with the following:

Robbery in the 3rd degree- Class D Felony
Grand Larceny in the 4th degree- Class E Felony

This arrest stems from an investigation into the October 24 robbery of an employee of the A -Plus Convenience Store, located at 299 W. First St.

It is alleged that at that time Kearns did forcibly steal a female employee’s purse, and its contents, as she was in the parking lot area of the store.

Kearns was arraigned in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash / $10,000 secured bail bond.

He is scheduled to reappear in Oswego City Court on December 5, at 9:30 a.m.

Today (November 29), a 17-year-old boy was arrested by Oswego City Police Investigators and charged with the following:

Burglary in the 2nd degree- Class C Felony
Petit Larceny- Class A Misdemeanor
Endangering the Welfare of a Child- Class A Misdemeanor

It is alleged that during the evening hours of November 26, the defendant did act together with a 14-year-old and 15-year-old boy to illegally enter a residence on Ontario Street in the city of Oswego and steal items from within.

On November 27, Oswego City Police Investigators executed a search warrant at the home of the 17-year-old.

As a result of that search warrant execution, numerous items allegedly stolen in the burglary were recovered.

The 17-year-old is currently being held at the Oswego City Police Department pending arraignment in Oswego City Court.
