Oswego Police Department Observed A Motorcycle Driving Recklessly

OSWEGO – On April 10, 2023, at approximately 5:38 p.m., patrol officers with the Oswego Police Department observed a motorcycle driving recklessly in the area of W Bridge Street and W 1st Street in the City of Oswego. Officers observed the motorcycle “splitting lanes” and operating at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the motorcycle, however, the motorcyclist did not stop and fled the area.

Officers terminated the attempted traffic stop and immediately began an investigation. Through that investigation, it was determined that the operator of the motorcycle was Destin M. Clark, age 24, of Fulton, NY. Mr. Clark was subsequently located at his residence and was issued several uniformed traffic tickets to include the following:

Speed not reasonable and prudent (VTL 1180A)

Riding motorcycle between lanes (VTL 1252C)

Moved from lane unsafely (VTL 1128A)

Improper/ no signal (VTL 1163D)

Fail to comply with lawful order (VTL 1102)

Operating out of class (VTL 509.2)

Reckless driving (VTL 1212)

Speed not reasonable & prudent (VTL 1180A)

Failed to yield right of way when entering roadway (VTL 1143)

Failed to yield right of way at stop sign (VTL 1142A)

Passed red signal (VTL 1111D1)

Passing on the left (VTL 1124)

Mr. Clark is due to appear in Oswego City Court on May 4, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. missing or outdated ad config

  1. Seen someone run the red light right in front of a turning vehicle today at the same light pictured. How bout some traffic light cameras to start giving out some tickets.
