OSWEGO, NY –School board officials this morning introduced Bill Crist as their choice as the new superintendent of the Oswego City School District.
The 1976 graduate of Oswego High School said he is “excited” and “humbled” by the chance to serve the district.
He has served as acting superintendent since July when after former superintendent David Fischer left to take a position in Massachusetts.
Crist was selected from a pool of two finalists in October, White said.
The board and Crist have since been involved in contract negotiations; he is expected to be approved by the board at its Dec. 9 meeting.
