A retired teacher who lives in Oswego is a millionaire today.
She won a $4.1 million payday playing a slot machine called Wheel of Fortune at The Venetian casino in Las Vegas within the last few days.
The woman is keeping her name private.
A gaming company called International Gaming Technology announced her big win along with multi-million dollar wins in recent weeks for three other people.
Each was playing the company’s Wheel of Fortune Super Spin MegaJackpot game, which provides massive payouts for the luckiest few.
According to a company news release, quoted in the Las Vegas Sun newspaper, the woman had been playing that evening, left the machine, then came back with $40 to try one more time. That’s when she hit the jackpot.
