PULASKI – Park visitors are invited to enjoy a winter wonderland snowshoe hike at Selkirk Shores State Park from 5 to 7 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.
Beginning at the skier parking area, lanterns will line a gradual self-guided mile loop.
Following the hike, hot chocolate will be served around a cozy fire at the pavilion overlooking Lake Ontario.
There is no admission fee.
Snowshoe rentals are available for $5 and can be reserved by calling the park office at 315-298-5737.
Selkirk Shores State Park is located at 7101 State Route 3, Pulaski.
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation oversees 180 state parks and 35 historic sites, which are visited by 60 million people annually.
A recent study found that state parks generate $1.9 billion in economic activity annually and support 20,000 jobs.
