Serious Injury MVA In Oswego Investigated

OSWEGO, NY – On Saturday at approximately 11:57 p.m., city police responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident on Route 481 near Churchill Road in the city of Oswego.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash; each vehicle was occupied by one individual.

Initial information at the scene indicates that one vehicle was headed southbound and the other northbound on Route 481 when the collision occurred.

One of the vehicles was operated by 19-year-old William S. Matott of Oswego.

Upon investigation, it was determined that Mattot had been ejected from the motor vehicle during the crash.

The other vehicle was operated by 21-year-old Kendra Jane Lemire, a student at SUNY Oswego, originally from Alberta, Canada.

Matott was airlifted to University Hospital, Syracuse, with serious injuries.

Lemire was transported to University Hospital by ambulance for treatment of her injuries.

At this time, Matott is listed in critical condition, and Lemire is listed in stable condition.
