Special Meeting Called by Mayor Corradino For 2025 City Budget Amendment

OSWEGO – Mayor Robert Corradino called for a special meeting on December 23rd. The meeting regarded an amendment to the 2025 City of Oswego budget. According to an official press release from the mayor’s office, “It was discovered that an appropriation in the 2025 Sewer Enterprise Budget was not included in the total.

The meeting was brief, and Resolution 326, to add the Sewer Enterprise budget, was passed 7-0. In the official press release, the mayor’s office notes that the funds are already in the current budget and that the amendment will not impact the 2025 City budget. They also added that real property taxes will not be impacted and will not affect the tax rate paid by taxpayers. The amendment’s purpose is to clarify and ensure that the funds used for the Sewer Enterprise are reflected accurately within the budget.
