State Police Arrest Scriba Man for Inappropriate Touching, Videotaping of Minors

SCRIBA, NY – On Sept. 3 the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation based out of the Fulton Barracks arrested Shane R. Haresign, 35,  of 157 Myers Road, Oswego.

He is facing the following charges:

2 counts of first-degree sex abuse (D Felony)
2 counts of endangering the welfare of a child (A Misdemeanor)
1 count of second-degree unlawful surveillance (E Felony)

The investigation determined that Haresign subjected two girls under the age of 11 to inappropriate sexual contact.

Additionally, Haresign is alleged to have secretly videotaped the same minors utilizing his cellular phone, while they were changing clothing and showering.

These incidents all occurred within the last month in the town of Scriba.

Haresign was arraigned before the Town of Scriba Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility on $7,500 cash or $15,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear before the Scriba Town Court on Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.
