PARISH – On Sunday (October 15), at approximately 7:25 p.m., State Police responded to East Main Street near the intersection of Rider Street in the village of Parish for a one-car crash.
Investigation revealed a 2003 Chevrolet Impala was traveling west on East Main Street in the village of Parish when he struck a 2002 Volkswagen which had been parked along the north shoulder of East Main Street, in front of 2914 E. Main St.
The vehicle continued west on East Main Street, struck a mail box and then came to rest at the concrete steps in front of 2940 E. Main St.
The driver, identified as Federico A. Ruiz, 47, from 2969 E. Main St., Parish, was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The investigation is continuing.
