Jackie Shaffer, licensed insurance broker and producer for Eastern Shore Associates Insurance (ESA), Fulton, recently earned the agency’s 2011 “Above and Beyond” award, it was announced by Martha Murray, agency president. Shaffer works at ESA’s Walworth office.
“Jackie has been an incredible asset to our team, “ Murray said. “She has excelled at helping so many of our commercial insurance clients over the years and she has earned a sterling reputation finding coverage for hard to place, high-risk accounts.
“The Above and Beyond program is designed to recognize the individual who goes above and beyond their normal job duties to exceed the needs of fellow employees, our customers and our agency.”
Shaffer, with 11-years at ESA and 26 years as an insurance industry professional, also holds the Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) accreditation from the American Institute for CPCU/Insurance Institute of America. She resides in Palmyra with her husband, Dennis, where they raised their four children.
Shaffer is very active as a community volunteer and prides herself on the many long-term working relationships she has developed with her customers.
“It’s more important to care for and nurture customers for the long run,” Shaffer said. “Their success is our success. I also try to provide value-added services whenever I can by educating my clients on the different ways they can protect themselves and their businesses. This can mean anything from risk management to acquiring certificates of insurance from vendors.”
