Mexico Man Arrested For Key Bank Robbery

MEXICO, NY – Yesterday, July 15, at about 2:56 p.m., members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to a robbery that occurred at Key Bank, located at 3283 Main St, in the Village of Mexico. No weapon was displayed in this robbery.

Some of the proceeds have been recovered and the suspect is currently in custody.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office were assisted in this investigation by the New York State Police.

This incident is still under investigation and more information will be released to the public by the County Sheriff’s Office later today.

As a result of a swift investigation, David Clark, 31 years of age and from Mexico, NY, was arrested for Robbery in the third degree and Grand Larceny in the fourth degree.

According to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, Clark passed a note at the bank to a teller, demanding money from the drawer. Clark took off with $2,151 of the bank’s money. The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office arrested Clark several hours later and were ultimately able to recover $1,588 of the stolen money.

Clark was arraigned in Oswego County CAP Court a few moments ago and was released on his own recognizance.
