Inauguration day is a long stemmed tradition beginning in 1789, representing a peaceful transition of power as a new president takes their role to lead the nation.

The ceremonies officially began yesterday (Jan 19) with a traditional Wreath Laying Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery and a Make America Great Again: Welcome Celebration held at Lincoln Memorial.

Today, they ceremonies will carry on as the 45th President and Vice President of the United States are officially sworn in to their positions on the West Front of the United States Capitol scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m.

Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States Clarence Thomas will administer the Oath of Office to Vice President Michael Pence. The Vice President-elect also will become the first officeholder, since President Ronald Reagan, to take the oath using the Reagan family Bible.

Jackson of Great Faith Ministries International.

Newly official President Trump will then speak to the massive crowd for his inaugural address, a traditional speech that has ranged from as little as 135 words in President George Washington’s address to 8,445 words delivered by President William Henry Harrison in 1841.

  1. Ariel, …You would be better off watching Rocky IV and seeing how Rocky made a comeback while making peace with the Russians at the end. The only thing missing from this inauguration was Apollo Creed and James Brown doing their song and dance to “Living In America”.

  2. OH yeah, I forgot…”With a Hi-Dee Hi Hi, and a Ho-Dee Ho-Ho!
    I FEEL GOOD!! Yeah!”
