HASTINGS – State Police in Hastings is investigating a fatal one-car crash that occurred on April 22, 2020, on Interstate 81 in the town of Hastings, Oswego County.
The preliminary investigation has revealed at approximately 6 p.m. yesterday, a 2015 Lexis, operated by Joseph Bisbo was traveling northbound on Interstate 81 when he lost control and drove off the west side shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle overturned several times before coming to a rest in the median grassy area. The driver, who doesn’t appear to have been wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.
The driver, Joseph D. Bisbo, age 30 from West Monroe, New York, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
State Police were assisted at the scene by Central Square Fire Department and Menter Ambulance.
The investigation is continuing.
