Wiffle Ball Tourney Benefits McCrobie Little League Field Reconstruction

Oswego Little League (OLL) is hosting a Wiffle Ball Tournament, Sat. Oct. 9, to benefit their McCrobie Field reconstruction. Rain date is Oct. 10.

The tourney will be at the Fort Ontario Little League complex. The first 12 teams (9 players per team) have a guaranteed spot and the cost to enter is $180 per team. “Anyone can play, any skill level, any age,” said Tim Murphy, OLL president . “Plastic, metal, or wooden bats are allowed. This tournament will be tons of fun and we want all participants to have a great time. McCrobie field is named for the late Mike McCrobie, former Oswego director of recreation.”

There will be three fields available on which to play and refreshments will be available. Each team is guaranteed three 45-minute games and each 4 team bracket winner, plus one wild card winner, will advance to semi-finals, then the championship game.

Game times per field are 10:00 a.m., 10:50 a.m., 11:40 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:50 p.m., and 2:40 p.m. The championship game will be played at 4:30 p.m.
