Anne Brewer, 85, 11/11/2007

HANNIBAL, NY – Anne Brewer, 85, of Fair Haven, formerly of North Syracuse, passed away November 11, 2007, after a long illness.

She was born Anna Ewanicki to Andrew and Rose Ewanicki on September 6, 1922 in Fulton, NY.

Anne BrewerAnne was a graduate of Fulton High School.

She was employed as a buyer in the jewelry and handbag department at the former Edwards Department Store in Syracuse for several years.

Anne was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Leon E. Brewer, who died September 11, 1996; her sister, Julie Dydyk; and a brother, John Ewanicki.

She is survived by her daughter, Toni-Lee (Michael) Turner of Seabrook, Texas; a son, Thomas (Karen) Brewer of Niskayuna, NY; two sisters, Mary Griffiths of Delaware and Jen Middleton of Bernards Bay, NY; six grandchildren, Tracy (Brian) Nickerson of Frisco, Texas, Thomas (Nicole) Turner of San Antonio, Texas, Stephanie Lynn (Todd) Rovero of Stratford, Conn. Kelly Brewer of Brooklyn, NY, Ryan Brewer and Lauren Brewer both of Austin, Texas; five cherished great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A calling hour will be held 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday with an 11:30 a.m. memorial service to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.

Private burial will be in the spring at Springbrook Cemetery, Sterling.
