FULTON, NY – Carl J. Collins, 48, of 422 Elliot St., Syracuse, NY, died Wednesday June 18, 2008, at University Hospital, Syracuse, after a short illness.

He was born in Ogdensburg, NY, and he had been resident of Syracuse for most of his life.

Carl was a self-employed licensed courier with Velocity, Syracuse, for more than 30 years.

He enjoyed working and spending time at his camp located in Cortland, NY.

He was predeceased by his father, Laverne J. Collins; and his brother, James Joel Collins.

He is survived by his mother, Lucille Collins of Fulton; his brothers, Leonard Collins of Granby, Steve Collins of Fulton, and Mark Collins of Oswego; his sisters, Denise Collins and Michele Grant both of Fulton; his best friend and business partner, Kevin Mills of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton, with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.

Calling hours will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton. missing or outdated ad config

    I am very sorry for your sudden loss, Carl will be remembered by many! He was such a good guy! I worked with him and I know I will miss him, and miss talking with him every now and again.
