Charles J. Rucynski, 91, a resident of 266 West Seventh St. Oswego, passed away June 2, 2008 at his home.
Born in Lyons Mt., NY, he was the son of the late Julius and Constance (Govonofsky) Rucynski and Step-father George Letsche.
He was employed at Alcan.
He was an avid Yankees fan, enjoyed fishing and a member of the Oswego Moose Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Viola “Queenie†(James) O’Neil-Sands of Mexico and Linda (John) Lee of Oswego; four sons, Charles (Sharon) Rucynski of Wisconsin; Joseph (Mary) Rucynski of Bayside, NY; Richard Rucynski of Sterling, NY and John (Kathy) Rucynski of Parish, NY; a sister, Ann Chwalek of Oswego; Sixteen grandchildren, Scott Rucynski, Chad Rucynski, Tim Rucynski, Todd Rucynski, John Rucynski, Maureen Rucynski, Monica Rucynski, Lou Anne Rucynski-Coleman, Kim Hollander, Tammy Mulcahey, Robin Hitchcock, Ryan O’Neil, Jack Lee, Robert Lee, Richard Lee and Brian Lee; twenty five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Hilda (Reifke) Rucynski, a son, Arthur Rucynski, two sisters, Jane Burke and Frances Sikorski.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen’s Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
