Curtis L. Bonnell, Sr., 62 of Fulton died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Syracuse after a long illness.

He was born in Fulton to the late George and Beulah (Pierce) Bonnell. Mr. Bonnell has remained a life resident of Fulton. He was a Disabled American Veteran having served in the Navy from 1965 to 1969. Mr. Bonnell worked as a mechanic with Birdseye, Millers, and J.R. Simplot. He was pre-deceased by his son Christopher Bonnell Sr., in 1998, and 2 brothers Fred Bonnell and Bill Bonnell and his sister Cathy Haresign.

Mr. Bonnell is survived by his wife of 38 years Martha (Whitney) Bonnell of Fulton, his children: Curtis (Heather) Bonnell, Jr., Lisa (Jason) Gobien of Hinsdale, NY, Scott and Mike Bonnell both of Fulton, 3 sisters: Nancy (Art) Wright of Martville, NY, Barbara (George) Morrison of Fulton, and Marsha Quigley of VA, 11 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted 7:00 PM Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Mark Kimpland. Burial will be in the spring at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be held 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
