Daniel “Festus” J. Cable, 58, of Fulton, died Monday at home.

Born in Fulton, he was a life resident. Daniel was employed by Catholic Charities for the past 5 years. He was a member of B.P.O.E. # 830 in Fulton. Daniel enjoyed golfing and woodworking. He was predeceased by his parents, Byron and Aldona Cable.

Surviving: daughter, Danielle Cable of Liverpool; granddaughter, Rylee Spencer of Fulton; brother, Thomas Cable of FL; former wife, Shirlee Cable of Fulton; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Fulton Elks Lodge # 830, 57 Pierce Drive, Fulton. Contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, 365 West First Street, Fulton, 13069. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has charge of arrangements.

  5. It was a long, long, long, time ago in my life the last I saw Festus. I have never forgotten Festus as he had a great sense of humor and quick wit; he always made me smile and laugh. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family.

  9. Danny, You Will Be Missed by all of us that had the pleasure of knowing you. I will never forget (even if I wanted to) The Road Trip that you your Uncle Francis and I took to Malone. I still laugh when I think about it.
