Donald L. Bourlier, 70, 11/01/2007

OSWEGO, NY – Donald L. Bourlier, 70, a former resident of Oswego and a resident of Fairless Hills, Pa., died on November 1, 2007,  at his home in Falls Township Pa., following a lengthy illness.

Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Burdette and Lucille (Lagoe) Bourlier.

Donald L. BourlierHe was employed as a manager in the restaurant business for many years at the former Fairless Inn where he was also a bartender and at the Quartet Club in Philadelphia.

Mr. Bourlier was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He was a professional figure skater and instructor.

He established the first figure skating club of the State University of Oswego.

He was an avid golfer.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 30 years, the former Leona Utter; a brother, Robert (Patricia) Bourlier of Oswego; a sister, Paulette (Kurt) Krieger of Mexico; four children, Donald, Miriam, Denise and Craig; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Dowdle Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Peck’s Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 p.m.
