FULTON, NY – Elaine P. Doty, 70, of Volney, died suddenly at home on Monday May 12, 2008.
A native of Volney, she was a life resident.
Elaine had worked as a cafeteria aide at the Volney Elementary School.
She was a member of the Town of Volney Historical Society and the Fairview Cemetery Association of Bundyville.
Elaine enjoyed quiet weekends at her summer camp at Panther Lake and a love for the outdoors and animals.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister survived by her husband of 50 years, Merlin C. Doty of Volney; her children, Joseph C. (Debra Van Patten) Doty of Volney and Karen A. Doty of Volney; grandchildren, Blake J. Doty and Camiel T. Heagle; brother, Traver (Barbara) Knight of Oswego; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, with burial at Fairview Cemetery, Bundyville, Town of Volney.
Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
