PHOENIX, NY – Barbara Louise (Bower) Hunkins, 84, of Mesa, Ariz., passed away on Tuesday Sept. 12, 2017, peacefully at her home.

An Arizona resident for 31 years, she had previously resided in Phoenix, NY.
Barbara was born in the town of Cato, NY, to her late parents, Cassie Mary (Dennison) and Walter C. Bower, on June 13, 1933.
Barbara was a property manage for Lincoln Gardens in Scotsdale, Ariz.
She enjoyed gardening and flowers, especially roses, tulips and daffodils.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Walter F. Bower, in 1997; her sister, Lois M. Kimball, in 2013.
Surviving are her four children: Cherie Lee (Fred) Imhoff, Terry R. Hunkins, Robin Louise Grant and Robert A. (Suzy) Hunkins; several grand and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marcia E. Bracy and Mary Ann (Gus) Pitcher; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and the father of her children Russell J. Hunkins.
A calling hour will be on Saturday Sept. 23, from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.
We will then proceed to the Roosevelt Cemetery, 4434 State Route 49, Pennellville, for a graveside service, where the Rev. Jeff Hodge will be officiating the
ceremony.
