PHOENIX, NY – Marcia E. Owens, 76, of the town of Granby, (Fulton), passed away on Friday March 9, 2018, at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
She was born in Syracuse on June 9, 1941, to her late parents C. Ethel (Augustine) and Frank Abbe Fay.
She was a 1960 graduate of West Genesee High School.
Marcia was employed by Phoenix Central Schools where she worked in the cafeteria.
Marcia was a member of the Taunton Memorial Presbyterian Church in Syracuse.
She also was involved and enjoyed her volunteer work with Aurora of CNY, Inc.
Marcia was an avid reader and loved to knit.
She was predeceased by her husband of 17 years, Dale P. Owens, who died on March 28, 1986.
Surviving are her son, Gerald P. Owens; her daughter, Susan E. Owens; her brother, Francis “Jerry” Fay; nieces; and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday March 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.
A funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Harold “Sandy” Sanderson officiating.
Spring burial in Belle Isle Cemetery, located on Van Buren Road in the town of Camillus.
