PHOENIX, NY – Mildred Marie Trask, 96, of Theresa, NY, nearly a life resident of Pennellville, NY, passed away on Tuesday April 25, 2017.
She was born in Pennellville, to her late parents, Addie (Kimball) and Nelson James Fox on September 19, 1920.
She was a graduate of Phoenix High School, class of 1939.
Mildred was a secretary for Phoenix Central Schools, retiring in 1959.
She was also involved in her family business, Phoenix Auto Parts from 1964-1973.
She was an active church member of Pennellville United Methodist Church,
where she was a Sunday School teacher, and crafts.
Mildred was a former Den Mother with the Cub Scouts.
She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Robert E. Trask, in 2008; her daughter, Sheila Marie Trask, in 1946; her daughter, Sandra MacFarland, in 2012; her son, Lawrence Trask, in 2016; her daughter-in-law, Marilyn Trask, in 2013.
Surviving are her daughters, Marcia Luce of Clay, and Ginger and (David) Butler of Pennellville; a son, Rodney Trask of Phoenix; a son-in-law, Harry MacFarland; a sister Gloria Beley of West Amboy; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
with a church service to follow all in the Pennellville United Methodist Church, 389 County Route 54, Pennellville, with the Rev. Jeff Hodge officiating.
Burial will follow in Pennellville Cemetery, located on County Route 54, Pennellville.
