FULTON – April 19, 2026, Elaine I. Conners, 85, of Fulton passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026. She was born in Oswego on June 11, 1940 to Joseph and Josephine Niegos and was a graduate of Fulton High School. Elaine met her future husband, Bill at a movie theater where he was working as an usher. Elaine retired as a secretary from the Heavy Equipment Department at General Electric in Liverpool after 32 years of employment. She previously had been employed at Sealright in Fulton.
Elaine was a parishioner of the former St. Michael’s Church in Fulton and was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Minetto. She and Bill enjoyed tending to their vegetable garden in their backyard and Elaine found comfort in the company of her cats and by her dog “Rocky”.
She is survived by her sister, Geraldine “Gerry” Gilliland of Fulton; her brother, Richard (Ofelia) Niegos of Fulton and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, William “Bill” Conners in 2018.
Graveside services were held Saturday, April 25, 2026 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Seventh Street in Fulton. There were no calling hours. Condolences for Elaine’s family may be shared at www.brownfuneralhomefulton.com.
