Jelenne H. Cook

FULTON – May 24, 2026, Jelenne H. Cook, 91, of Lysander, New York, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse.

Jelenne was a devoted wife, mother and friend whose love and kindness reached far beyond her own family. She was known as the neighborhood mom to all, always offering care, comfort, guidance and a welcoming heart to those around her. A strong and steady woman, Jelenne was a dedicated caretaker for her family and friends, giving generously of herself and always putting others before herself.

She was predeceased by her parents, Harold Hapeman and Thola Summerville Kiblin; her husband, Robert B. Cook; her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Cook and by her sister, Karen Gardner.

Jelenne is survived by her children, Thola Jane (Gary) Staves of Phoenix and Bruce Cook of Baldwinsville; her daughter of her heart, Lea Ann (Jon) Quimby of Baldwinsville; several nieces and nephews; and by her faithful companion, Daisy.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2026 with a 6 p.m. service to follow at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery in Lysander. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jelenne’s memory may be made to the Oswego County SPCA, P.O.
