FULTON – May 3, 2026, Michael E. Abare, 74, of Martville, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026. He was born September 19, 1951 in Malone, New York to Edward and Elizabeth Abare. Mike was a graduate of Franklin Academy High School in Malone and served his country as a member of the Army Reserves. He retired from the Onondaga County Department of Drainage and Sanitation where he was employed for several years as a mechanic. Mike had a passion for classic cars. He was an active member and past president of the Hannibal Country Cruizers. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, which brought him great joy throughout his life.
He is survived by his daughter, Denise (Brandon) Coleman of Fulton; his sisters, Diane (Jack) Malark of Constable, NY, Robin Mauro of Liverpool, NY and Cindy Abare of Little Falls, NY; his grandchildren, Jada Edwards and Brandon Coleman, Jr.; one great granddaughter, Esmae and another one on the way. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie; his daughter, Dawn Abare and by his grandson, Maliek Edwards.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2026 with services to follow all at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton.
