OSWEGO, NY – Christopher E. Babcock, 56, a resident of Oswego, passed away on Sunday January 21, 2018, at the Oneida Health Care Facility in Oneida, NY.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late of Edward and Barbara (Gill) Babcock Sr.
He attended Oswego schools.
He enjoyed puzzles and crafts.
He loved to fish, watch NASCAR and was an avid SU fan.
He attended and had many friends at the St. Luke’s Adult Day Program.
He planted a garden, which blossomed over the summer, at the back door of St. Luke’s every Memorial Day.
People always admired and commented on the beauty of it.
Surviving are his son, Christopher Babcock of Oswego; a daughter, Tiffany Babcock of Oswego; a step-daughter, Jennifer Fairly; two brothers, Daniel Babcock of Oswego and Gary (Sue) Babcock of Oswego; two sisters, Elaine Farley of Oswego and Anita Babcock of Ohio; three granddaughters; three step-grandsons; as well as nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Lorraine Colon and Suzienne Delsavadore; and his brother, Edward Babcock Jr.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Dowdle Funeral Home.

My Mom used to be the secretary at the Adult Day Care about 18 yrs ago and I would visit regularly with my daughter. I remember Chris well, and am very sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family. God Bless.
Chris was an avid race fan and will be missed.
