Constance A. ‘Connie’ Perry, 68

OSWEGO, NY – Constance A. “Connie” Perry, 68, a resident of Oswego, passed away on Sunday August 25, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Hansel) Delahunt and had attended Oswego schools.

She was employed with the Oswego City School District for 30 years as a hall monitor, teachers aide and also in the computer lab.

She was also employed with Wal-Mart for 15 years.

Connie was a member of both the Oswego Softball Hall of Fame and the Oswego Bowling Hall of Fame.

She was a member of the board of directors of both the Little League Girls and the Oswego Women’s Softball Association.

She also served as the secretary of the Fulton Women’s Bowling Association.

Connie was well known for her softball and bowling skills.

She always enjoyed playing a round of golf.

Surviving are her two daughters, Ellen (Donnie) Knosp of Oswego and Rose (Dennis) Kimball of Fulton; two sons, Michael (Nicole) Perry of New Haven and Lee (Crystal) Perry of Oswego; three sisters, Jean Branshaw of Oswego, Patricia Delahunt of Oswego and Delores (George) Richards of Texas; three brothers, Robert (Audrey) Delahunt of Oswego, John (Leslie) Delahunt of Florida and James (Loretta) Delahunt of Oswego; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Delahunt; her great-granddaughter, Alexia; and her brother-in-law, Richard H. Branshaw Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. from St. Paul’s Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.

  1. I knew Connie for many years going back to the startup days of the Women’s softball league in Oswego. she was a wonderful lady and will be sorely missed. May God escort her soul directly to Heaven where she can be on His #1 softball and Bowling team. God Bless you and keep you always….. your friend – John
