OSWEGO, NY – David Neil Ahart, 51, a resident of State Route 3 in Mexico, passed away unexpectedley on Tuesday December 4, 2012, at his home.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Neil Ahart and Constance (Clark) Ahart of Oswego and was a graduate of Oswego High School.
Mr. Ahart was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1979-1992.
He was a staff sergeant and was also the leader of the canine unit.
He was employed with Miller and later with BOCES in the security department.
He loved to train dogs and enjoyed playing the video game of golf.
Surviving besides his mother are his daughter, Jasmyne Carocci of North Syracuse; two sons, Ryan Ahart and Kyle Ahart both of Mexico; two sisters, Susan (Jim) Galletta and Carolyn Ahart both of Oswego; a brother, Kevin (Rose) Ahart of New Haven; a granddaughter, Adrianna Carocci; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Dowdle Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
