OSWEGO, NY – Gene C. Andres, 65, a resident of 17 Maiden Lane passed away on Saturday Nov. 20, 2010, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late Clarence “Andy” and Elizabeth “Betty” (Haren) Andres.

He was a graduate of Oswego High School.
Gene was employed by Alcan, Roger Gustaon Jet Dragsters, Andres’ Harley Davison Motorcycle Shop and later retired as a mechanic from Oswego City School District.
Mr. Andres was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the 1960s.
He loved to play guitar in bands and enjoyed spending time at A and J Music Shop.
He also enjoyed working on race cars.
Surviving are his wife of more than 10 years, the former Maureen Ladd; a son, Ward Andres; and two brothers, Donald (Joanne) Andres of East Mansfield Ma., and Robert (Margaret Castiglia) Andres of Oswego.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at noon from the Dowdle Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Minetto Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
