OSWEGO, NY – Judith C. O’Connor, 68, a resident of Scriba, passed away on Saturday May 4, 2013, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Grace (Fischer) Gigon and was a graduate of Oswego High School.
Judy was a homemaker who enjoyed reading.
She was the past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #9218 in Scriba and was the past president of the Oswego County Council VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Kevin O’Connor; three children, Faith (Charles) Foultz of Fulton, Kimberly (Shawn) Brown of Scriba and Kevin “Duffy” (Kendra) O’Connor of Oswego; four brothers, Everett “Skip” (Marsha) Gigon of Scriba, John (Joy) Gigon of Caledonia, NY, Donald Ross of Lycoming and William (Kathy) Wallace of Scriba; two sisters, Virginia (Lawrence) Gigon Dunn of Oswego and Lucy Gigon Haresign of Scriba; 10 grandchildren, Curtis, Shannon, Matthew, Andrew, Samantha, Shawn Jr., Alysha, Justin, Grace and Deklen; and several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother, Roy Gigon, in October of 1992.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. with a service to follow the hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
