Margaret L. ‘Peg’ Ellis, 80

OSWEGO, NY – Margaret L. “Peg” Ellis, 80, a resident of West Second Street, passed away on Thursday August 9, 2012, at her home.

Born in Syracuse, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ottilie (Knaus) LeRoy.

She was a graduate of Oswego High School and State University at Oswego.

She taught school in Baldwinsville for three years and was a substitute techer in the Oswego School District for more than 30 years.

Peg was an avid bridge player.

Surviving are her two daughters, Susan Holmes of Webster and Meg Nessel of Syracuse; two sons, Joseph (Ann Marie)  Ellis and Timothy Ellis both of Oswego; a sister, Marilyn Kindl of Ballston Spa; a brother, Frank (Candy) LeRoy of Diamond Bar, Calif.; six grandchildren, Sarah and Casey Nessel, James and Megan Holmes and Timothy and Maggie Ellis.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 2003.

A Memorial mass will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church.

Burial will be St. Paul’s Cemetery.

There are no calling hours.
